after another thought ;) I think better solution is some unique string token defined by user. For example, at the registration, let the user choose name for his/her avramtar for easy remembering. That way i can have this URL of my avatar:

http://avatars.avramtar.com/kaizen.gif

after that, I can use it on any place without having to go through mails or visit avramtar.com to copy-paste it.</description>
